2006 Young Leaders Forum
The first Young Leaders Forum brought together 37 tertiary students and recent graduates from New Zealand and Asia for a week-long programme from 19-25 November 2006.
Programme
The programme included:
- site visits to businesses such as Fonterra, Wellington film post-production company Park Road Post, and the Waikato Innovation Park
- workshops on leadership, cross-cultural communication and public speaking
- briefings by government and business leaders
- cultural events, including a marae experience
- team-building activities
- business case studies.

Speakers included business leaders such as Fonterra General Manager Trade Strategy Fiona Cooper-Clarke, Park Road Post director Michael Stephens, Augen (NZ) director Mitchell Pham, film-maker Sandor Lau, Hamilton deputy mayor Bob Simcock, and Foreign Affairs Minister Winston Peters.
